Donation of clothes

Before the fall 2007 trip to Romania, a clothes donation was set up where people were able to donate items they no longer needed. We would like to thank everybody that contributed! The amount we collected was far more than anyone had expected! The clothes were delivered to the students in Kolozsvar, and on that same night much of donations were put to good use. There is no doubt that the contribution we made was greatly appreciated.

In able to help the students integrate into the school environment, it helps a lot if they have some decent clothes to wear. Many of the students also have part time jobs that require they dress appropriately. We were informed that some of the students are sharing their work clothes because they aren’t all able to buy their own. So even though clothes may not be the most needed item in Transylvania, it is still an important aspect and makes a huge difference for the lives of these students.
