Father Csaba visited us in Oslo 6th to 10th of October 2008, Father Csaba came to Oslo with Noemi Papai, one of the students in Kolzsvar. The purpose of the visit was to spread the word about his work to Norwegians, to present our project and to raise money for the Kolozsvar student house. The weekend was very succesful and raised around 43000 kr (4500 euro). We were very happy to hear that Father Csaba vanted to make time, despite his busy scedual, to visit us in Oslo. We invited him in June 08 and as soon as the date was set we started planning the weekend with help from Lucia Nagy, the chairwoman of the Norwegian-Hungarian Assiciation. Four girls from the ANSA charity group went to accompany Father Csaba and Noemi in Oslo: Ingrid Vognild, Siri Kløkstad, Kristine Steffanak and Miriam Sare. We started the weekend with a meeting at the Norwegian Department of Foreign Affairs, arranged by our contacts at the Norwegian Embassy in Budapest. A consultant from ANSA came with us and the meeting was very successful, with the outcome being possible funding in the future. One of the main events during the weekend was a presentation held by the four ANSA charity representatives, where we showed pictures from our project and a movie we made from Transylvania. After the presentation Father Csaba did a beautiful and inspiering presentation about his work, he also included a speach where he outlined why the work done by ANSA charity is so important, and showed his grattitude. We arranged for father Csaba to hold a mass in the St.Joseph chuche in Oslo, among many other activities. We recieved media coverage that hopefully will spread the word of our work even further. During the weekend we met alot of inspiered people willing to help with our project, we made good connections and raised a segnificant amount of money. We also had alot of fun showing our friend Noemi around in Oslo, after being many times in Kolozsvar, it is good to be able to return the great hospitality they always show us in Romania. ![]() ![]()
