Charity ball 2008

March 8 2008 it was again time for the now annual Charity ball. The ball was held at the beautiful Karolyi-Cseconics Rezidencia in Budapest

Hard working vet- and med- students had been booking location, tasting food, bargained prices, practiced their singing and sold tickets for weeks. So when the day finally arrived, everything was almost in order for it to be a huge success.

And it really was a success! 300 guests were enjoying themselves and we raised around 50 000NOK for renovation of the new student home. The money was raised through tickets, lottery, bar, and photography’s.

The night began with a drink in the hall with beautiful music played by students from the Liszt Ferenc academy and songs by Mannsang. We were then taken up to the ballroom where the head manager of the Project Johannes Maubach held a short speech and showed a movie. There was also a band from Pecs playing, and there was dancing all night long!

As last year, this ball was held to raise more interest and to inform our fellow student and friends about this great project as well as raising money for the student home. And it seems to be such a success that we need to make it a tradition. We hope to see you there march 7 2009.
