The building process has started!

We have great news about the student home project in Kolozsvar! An old lady has donated her house to our project, and the renovation has already started.

We have great news about the studenthome project in Kolozsvar. An old lady who has no kids and recently became a widow has donated her hous to our project. The house is located in the city centre of Kolosvar and has a big garden. We recieved the good news just before the summer and during the last months the search for an appropriate building company has taken place. Recently the contract was signed with a local rumanian building company and the renovation has started. Additional to the renovation a new section of the house is beeing built to accomodate as many students as possible. The renovation will hopefully be finished by christmas and the house can accomodate 25-30 university students. So far we have gathered about ¾ of the money needed for the project, so with a little more money on the account we can start buying furniture and equipment for the house. We are hoping to turn it into a beautiful and modern house with a big kitchen, living room and a library. The garden is very big and our main goal for our Transylvania trip in October 2008 is to fix up the garden. We want to make a barbeque place and plant trees and flowers. We are incredibly proud to see our project becoming reality. Contributing by helping orphans from the foundation to finish a university education really helps fulfil the amazing work of Father Csaba and his foundation.
